Is there anything more heavenly than bacon?? I made my Valentine bacon wrapped chicken over spaghetti Alfredo for dinner. Super easy and double super delicious.
What you need:
Skinless, boneless chicken breasts cut into thirds
Bacon, one slice per piece of chicken
Brown sugar
Garlic powder
Salt and Pepper
Chili powder
Olive oil
What to do:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees and use about two tablespoons or so to coat the bottom of the baking dish (I love my glass pyrex casserole dishes). Season the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder and chili powder. Then wrap each piece of chicken with a slice of bacon. Roll the chicken in the brown sugar to coat and place in the baking dish in a single layer.
Bake for 30-40 minutes until juices run clear and the meat is no longer pink inside. I also quickly baste the chicken with the sauce in the pan for extra deliciousness and calories!!
Arrange over rice, pasta or on the side with a baked potato and veggie! I enjoyed mine with a Hefeweizen beer from Stoudts Brewery!!
